Xizhe Peng's Curriculum Vitae

Prof. Xizhe Peng, born in January 1954, is the Director of the Institute of Population Research at Fudan University, Shanghai. In 1982, he received his Bachelor in Economics in Fudan University. From 1983 to 1988, he received his Master and PhD in population studies from the London School of Economics. He returned to Fudan University in November 1988 and became a professor in 1991. His main research interests include China's population dynamics and population policy, social security reform and aging population, population and sustainable development, social gender and anti-poverty, as well as population flow and labor force.
